Breakthrough performance
Our entire Classic, Step-thru and Tandem models meet European standards. All are equipped with a proven 250-Watt motor and pedelec system that will provide motored assistance as you pedal up any hill or incline up to 15mph (25kph).
With over a 25 mile range on all models and up to 40 miles possible with a battery upgrade your pedego can take you almost anywhere.
Brushless & painless.
The motor is brushless, employing direct drive technology using magnets, meaning there are no moving parts to wear out. When you pedal without the motor assistance there is no extra resistance to overcome, the wheel is completely freewheeling.
Ride in comfort.
The design of a Pedego allows you to sit in an upright position, akin to sitting in an armchair, avoiding hunching forward and ensuring a positive and supportive posture while riding. This is achieved through a combination of the position of the pedal crank relative to the saddle and the sweeping handlebars.
Notice the steeper than normal angle of the seat post bringing the pedal position further forward. This then marries with the handlebar position as they reach back at you allowing you to support an upright and comfortable riding position. The riding experience on a Pedego is then completed with the large and padded saddle, which avoids any notion of discomfort.
Lithium polymer batteries
Your Pedego is equipped as standard with a 36 Volt 10Ah Lithium Polymer battery, allowing up to 25-30 miles of assisted travel per charge. Some of you might want to go that extra mile. A battery upgrade package is available to a 36Volt 15Ah battery allowing up to 40 miles travel per charge.
The life of the battery is restricted to 500–1000 recharge cycles dependent on the care you take of your battery. Essential battery maintenance is to recharge after every use no matter how short, keeping the battery topped up at all times. If you haven't used your Pedego for a while make sure you stretch your legs and the batteries once every three months.
The battery is removable, sliding off the ramp at the back allowing for simple recharging using the re-charger unit that comes with the bike. Simply plug it into the mains. Recharging will take 3 to 4 hours.
Your battery pack comes with a key controlling when the battery is on and making it lockable to the bike.
Rear wheel hub lock.
For increased security and convenience your Pedego bike is equipped with a Dia Combe hub lock and key mounted in the rear wheel. This immobilises the bike if you need to jump off for a few minutes.
Front disk brakes as standard.
Pedego bikes are equipped with Avid BB 7 front disc brakes as standard. Why? V brakes and caliper brakes don't cut it for us. Your disc brakes will last much longer and provide more assured breaking at the increased speeds you may reach on your pedelec bike.
Kevla lined kenda tyres.
Our tyres are top quality Kevlar lined tyres from Kenda, meaning they are extremely tough and puncture resistant. The inner tubes are also puncture resistant, full of a gel designed to quickly and automatically seal any puncture before the tyre becomes deflated. Don't be alarmed if a little green slime comes out the valves the first time you go to pump the tyres up. That's just the anti puncture gel in action.
Mudguards come as standard with your Pedego bike enhancing the look and style still further.
Out of the box onto the road.
The Pedego Comfort Cruisers were originally designed in Irvine, California. Final assembly is in the UK. We test every bike in the UK before it is shipped out to the customer. We even repackage the bike in specially designed cardboard containers to make sure that the bike gets delivered in great condition every time. Our customers are typically riding their Pedego electric bikes within 10 minutes of getting them.
